Help???
We purchased this lamp on a recent vacation
and wanted to know if anyone would have
some information about it. I have been all
over the internet and cannot find this particular
lamp at all. There are many that have the same
numbers but not the same painting on them.
It is a Quoizel with the number #1962 and a
year date of 1973. I have several emails out to
people who may know about it, but have not
heard back. I am sure they must have been
mass produced, but find it kind of odd that there
is no pictures of it or information.
Its approximately 29" tall, 15" across the top
shade. There are no chips or cracks on it at all.
The electric does leave some to be desired as
someone did a lousy job and left it hanging
underneath. We plan to have it rewired. For
now would just like some information on it.

My thrift store find.....
Diane Knott mentioned and had a picture of her
"spooner". They were used to hold collected tea
spoons or serve celery in at meal times. I already
have one at home in KY. We are still in SC and
will be heading home on Saturday. I also found a
great lamp I had been looking for since moving to
KY for my front window in my living room. It was
a very good year for me at local thrift stores.
Diane's blog url is listed among my favorites so
go check her out.

Meeting an Admired Designer
This morning found us in Lexington South Carolina. We
are on our way to Hilton Head SC and stayed the night here
so I could meet Ann Kullberg a well know colored pencil
portrait artist and teacher. I have only been doing pencil for
a short time and found Ann on the internet right from my pencil
beginnings. I have been in awe of her work and have many
of her patterns. Its because of Ann that I have this medium
very relaxing and hypnotic. I was honored that I was able to
meet with her and talk with her prior to beginning her class
this morning. She is from Washington state and for her to be
teaching so close to me and right on our way to the beach was
a hands down I have to meet her.
I started her pattern of a Yorki that came out about 3 weeks ago
yesterday in the car after we left home for our trip. I had did an abbreviated version the day the pattern came,
but my daughter in law Traci was here from IN and took it home with her. LOL, they have 3 Yorkies and the
picture resembled all 3 of them in different ways. I took what I had done in the car, about half way complete,
in with me to show Ann. Now this really had me scared as I needed to know just how my self taught pencil
drawing skills stood. No one likes to be told "oh dear or dead silence". I waited and almost passed out when
she exclaimed how fantastic I was doing. Several of the students were watching and exclaimed the same thing.
WOW.....to be told something from a top notch colored pencil artist is beyond anything you could imagine. I walked
out to the car on a cloud. What a rush.......Mushy hugs

Munchkin Spencer
This is my youngest granddog Spencer. He was here for a full week and
both he and Maggie were great. There were a couple evenings when both
dogs were a bit tired that in passing the lips raised on the edge a bit. Like
children when tired they are not the nicest. He made himself at home, but
I have the feeling that Maggie was counting his days....LOL.
